The bands on Kaliakra Rock Fest 2008 are clear

The third edition of Kaliakra Rock Fest, which will be hold in July 5th, 6th and 7th in Kavarna, again will meet together at a position one of the biggest names from the universe rock - stage. The fest will be opened in July, 5th with a concert of MANOWAR, who will stay for the second time in the marine town. Preheat band of the metal kings will be HOLYHELL. In July, 6th on Kavarna stadium will fix the legendary ALICE COOPER. Kaliakra Rock Fest, which for a short time have succeeded to make a name as one of the biggest rock fests not only in Bulgaria, but on the Balkan peninsular, will finished in July, 7th with a spectacular concert of IN FLAMES and SLAYER!

Organizers of the huge event are Municipality Kavarna and Music Producer Company Joker Media, and a main sponsor will be Pepsi. This year, fans will have a chance to choose whether to buy a common ticket for the three days of the fest to a total value of 90 lv. or a single ticket for each of the days to the price of 50 lv. The first 500 humans that had bought the common ticket, for the three - day fest will obtain a present - DVD of Manowar „Live In Bulgaria - Kaliakra Rock Fest 2007”. The lottery that will be enacted only between the common tickets is this year as well anticipated, as the prize will be a car Fiat.

The tickets will be freed in sale on 24th March, in the ticket center of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia and the commercial net of www.ticketstream.bg in the entire country.

EASYJET LAUNCHES DAILY FLIGHTS BETWEEN SOFIA AND LONDON

Low-cost airliner EasyJet was to launch daily flights between Sofia and London on January 22 2008, the company announced.

The planes would land at Gatwick airport in London, investor.bg said.

EasyJet decided to increase the frequency of the flights to daily, only a month after the company launched the destination on November 6 2007.

The decision was the result of interest in the flights, both in Bulgaria and the UK, the company said.

According to the new timetable, the flights from Sofia would be at 12.35am on Mondays and Fridays, at 1.35pm on Wednesdays, and in the weekend and at 9.15pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

In the other direction the flights would be at 6.40am on Mondays and Fridays, at 7.50am on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and at 3.30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Currently, EasyJet flies three times a week to between Sofia and London.

Kavarna become the first European Municipality

Kavarna Municipality was honored with a European diploma from the Parliament assembly of the Council of Europe. The prestige certificate was delivered to the general secretary of the Municipality Darina Kolisheva on an official ceremony in Strasburg, where there was the Bulgarian ambassador in the Council of Europe Ivan Petkov.

Kavarna is the only one Bulgarian Municipality, which received a European status. The diploma is an acknowledgement from Europe for the Municipality’s job in the sea town. This certificate will open a gate when applying to European projects and programs. Twenty Municipalities from ten countries altogether have received European diplomas – Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, Great Britain and Russia.

The European diploma is set up by the Parliament assembly in 1988 and is the highest valuation for a Municipality, which works in different directions for a European unity. Kavarna Municipality is the only one on the Balkans, which till now is honored with this certificate.
